Lutheran Bible Translators
For the month of May, the Board of Stewardship is focusing attention on Rev. David & Valerie Federwitz, who both serve with Lutheran Bible Translators. David is the Director of Partnerships & Scripture Engagement – he works to establish relationships with potential partner organizations and churches in the U.S. and abroad to facilitate engagement with Scripture in the language that is most meaningful to their community members. Valerie is the Nutrition & Wellness Advisor for LBT – she supports the well-being of the missionaries and office staff through education, activities, one-on-one consultations, and personalized strategies to optimize their health.
We became aware that the Federwitzes had a funding shortfall in 2025 of an average of $3200 per month. Any contributions the Immanuel family can give will help fill that gap. The stewardship box will be in the lobby during May for contributions – checks can be made payable to Immanuel Lutheran Church with Federwitz noted on the memo line. Immanuel's quilting group meets the second Friday of the month at 9 am to work on quilts which are used to bless others around the world through Lutheran World Relief. Members also work on projects at home, making tops and backings that are assembled when they meet together. New faces are always welcome!
